~Vineyard Inspired Wedding~

Jess & Johnny's Vineyard Inspired Wedding:
Ceremony & ReceptionLocation: Whyte Horse Winery, Monticello, IN
Color Palette: Eggplant, Moss, Gold

We had been working with Jess planning for her special day for over a year. There were lots of details that we wanted to capture regarding the vineyard theme. As you look through the beautiful photography by Sarah Parent Photography, I think you will see I think we nailed it! Sarah submitted this wedding to Wedding Wire, where it was a featured wedding. She also submitted it to "Inspire a Bride" online magazine where the cake by Mammaw's Sweet Shoppe was on the cover (Flower Design on the cake was by White Iris Designs). We were also super excited that Wedding Wire chose our Groom's Boutonniere & our Bridesmaid's bouquet as one of their favorites for 2011
The Bride & Her Bouquet
We chose Hydrangea, Plum Calla Lilies, Amnesia & Quick Sand Roses, Golden Spray Roses, Green Hanging Amaranthus, Berries, Scabiosa Pods, & Explosion Grass to create this one of a kind Bridal Bouquet.

The Reception Details:

At the reception, we used manzanita branches in crates with hydrangea & hanging amaranthus, for one style of centerpiece, & a collection of candle sticks & greenery in a piece of pottery for another. Each Table had a wine bottle with a custom made "table number" label, made by the bride.

The Bride & Her Ladies:
The Girls look lovely in their lapis dresses set against the green of the vineyard. They carried bouquets similar in style to the Bride's bouquets.

Ceremony Details:
Mason Jars with mixed greenery & hydrangea lined the aisle hanging from shepherd's hooks draped with flowing white fabric. The flower girl basket & the ring bearer pillow were both accented with moss & eggplant ribbons. The "altar" was created using an oak barrel decorated with honeysuckle vine, grapes & hydrangea for the couples sand ceremony.
The Ceremony:
The ceremony was nestled in the vineyard just beyond the grape arbor. The ceremony took place under the gazebo.

The Cake:
The cake was created by Mammaw's Sweet Shoppe with a rough butter cream frosting finish, wrapped with curly willow that we then added flowers in random design & topped with a pair of love birds.
Thanks to Jess, Johnny & Jess's mother, Pam for asking us to design for your very special & unique day!

The White Iris

The Iris danced across
the ancient Grecian skies. Gliding with her
embossed
satiny milken sides.

Her lithe and nimble limbs moved methodically...
From her cream white petals to her supple stem. The nectar that she carried was transposed into a hymn.

"I must use my moments wisely, for they shall soon pass away... And be lost to me forever... A mere memory of my yesterdays...

"Thus she sung
And thus she cried.
Her voice set to harp
And lyre. So true a call
So true a heart did Zeus himself see...

"Come now unto
Mt Olympus

Oh white Iris,
And our announcer be"...
She floated along
In such a curving grace...
Transposed she was
In time and space...

The blessed arched path
Which she did go,
Became the journey for
All our eternal rainbows.
