~ Weeds.... Beautiful or Nuisance? ~

A little blog about the beauty in all that is around us......it is all in how you look at it. This is the perspective of a woman & a flower lady.....

Besides the water looking muddy.....I think the creek is so pretty....weeds & all!

From the full on shot of the creek bottom, yes it just looks like weeds.....but as I ventured in farther, I found some beauty amongst the nuisance.

This reminds me of some of some of the strange species of sea life.

Thistle fuzzies holding on for dear life to this "weed". I love the color & the texture of this particular one.

Bugs eye view of thistle against the blue sky. The clouds that day resembles the thistle after they blow & turn into the floating little fuzzies that carry the seeds.

Unique view from under Queen Anne's Lace....again a bugs perspective!

So pretty....how can you call these weeds?

This shot is of the creek bottom (again bugs eye view) looking up & over the state highway that is just beyond the grasses.

Just so you know, I did NOT lay down in the weeds to get these shots......just held the camera low, point & click. They are pretty.....but who knows what else was buried down deep in there!!

This is all gone now, as my father in law, who doesn't share my love of the beauty of the weeds.....mowed them all down!
That is the perspective of..........a man & a farmer!

Go....embrace the beauty of Your weeds!

Gorgeous photos! Are you sure you didn't lay down on the ground to get those? lol! Part of the adventure..you never know what you will have clinging to your clothes when you get up! Glad you got the shots before the great demise of the fields!

The White Iris

The Iris danced across
the ancient Grecian skies. Gliding with her
embossed
satiny milken sides.

Her lithe and nimble limbs moved methodically...
From her cream white petals to her supple stem. The nectar that she carried was transposed into a hymn.

"I must use my moments wisely, for they shall soon pass away... And be lost to me forever... A mere memory of my yesterdays...

"Thus she sung
And thus she cried.
Her voice set to harp
And lyre. So true a call
So true a heart did Zeus himself see...

"Come now unto
Mt Olympus

Oh white Iris,
And our announcer be"...
She floated along
In such a curving grace...
Transposed she was
In time and space...

The blessed arched path
Which she did go,
Became the journey for
All our eternal rainbows.
