Prom ~ "What do your flowers say about you?"

Orange rose boutonniere with kiwi green holographic leaves & orange art wire.

Keepsake Rhinestone tennis bracelet wristlet.

Mini White Calla Lily with black art wire & silver beads & holographic leaves.

Keepsake Pearl bracelet wristlet.

Purple Dendrobium Orchids, purple rhinestones, purple ceramic beads on the ribbons.

This is an example of our "Prom Special" We offer the wristlet with a matching boutonniere. We call this one our "Prom Queen", this is for the girl who loves it all....class, elegance, fun, glitz& glamour.

It is made on an iridescent rhinestone keepsake bracelet & has rhinestones & beading accented with hot pink holographic leaves. The flowers are hot pink sweetheart roses & hot pink freesia.

This is the first in a series of prom blogs as we are in the midst of Prom season. I will be posting some of the work from each of our proms, trying to offer you some new flower combinations & design ideas each time.

This year, if you are a mother of a prom goer & you are in charge of ordering the flowers....dare to be different. Ask your florist to use their creativity when designing your flowers.

I try to approach the designs from the teens prospective, make it youthful & fun with a wonderful memento to keep after the music & flowers have faded. They love them!!

Makes me wish I was young enough to go to the prom! Some young ladies will be very lucky, if their prom flowers come from White Iris Designs. Beautiful, creative designs, Tammy.

Geez, I could of used the purple orchid with orange ribbon a year or so ago. Matching my son, his date's dress for winter carnival. Beautiful!

Wow those are beautiful creations! I wish I had the pearl keepsake bracelet that would have been awesome. Prom seems like such a long time ago for me. And it was only eight years ago. lol.

The White Iris

The Iris danced across
the ancient Grecian skies. Gliding with her
embossed
satiny milken sides.

Her lithe and nimble limbs moved methodically...
From her cream white petals to her supple stem. The nectar that she carried was transposed into a hymn.

"I must use my moments wisely, for they shall soon pass away... And be lost to me forever... A mere memory of my yesterdays...

"Thus she sung
And thus she cried.
Her voice set to harp
And lyre. So true a call
So true a heart did Zeus himself see...

"Come now unto
Mt Olympus

Oh white Iris,
And our announcer be"...
She floated along
In such a curving grace...
Transposed she was
In time and space...

The blessed arched path
Which she did go,
Became the journey for
All our eternal rainbows.
