"Blue Monday" ~ Ready for Spring?.... We are!! ~

I haven't participated in Blue Monday in awhile, so I thought I'd try to join in today with a few offerings that are Blue & a few that are not. This is some of what we have been working on in preparations for the Spring silk flower season at the flower shop.
Please stop by Sally's blog to see who else is having a Blue Monday.....

Blue Hydrangea, Berries, Mixed Greenery & Blue Butterflies on grapevine.

Pink Hydrangea & Cherry Blossom Twig Wreath

Pink Hydrangea & Japanese Wisteria Grapevine Wreath

Assorted Spring Arrangements using silk flowers arranged in Wonder Water, so that they appear to be fresh cut flower arrangements.

Twig Wreath with Hydrangea & Berries

Mixed Summer Wreath on Grapevine form.

Sunflower Twig Wreath with Butterflies.

Tropical arrangement of silk Ginger, Water Lilies, Ferns & Grasses

Just a little peek into what is new at White Iris Designs....we are so ready for Spring! More to come soon!

Thankfully many of my clients are as ready for Spring as we are, because some of the wreaths & arrangements you see here have already found a new home! Hurrah!!

Love, love, love blue hydrangea! I think I read somewhere that you can make your hydrangea change colors by the presences or lack of certain nutrients in the soil. One article suggested burying pennies near the plant but I don't know if that was supposed to make them blue or pink!

Tammy, such lovely wreaths, and I'm also coveting that blue door! How neat is that color! But hydrangeas are some of my favorites. I tore mine apart recently because I needed the hydrangeas for the mantle, and I will be putting it back together after Easter. LOL!

Beatufiul job!

Happy Blue Monday...

Sheila :-)

Tammy,

Try as I might, I couldn't pick just one favorite! All of the arrangements are beautiful and do not look like silk at all!

I also love how everything is displayed, so country~like!!

Thanks!

The White Iris

The Iris danced across
the ancient Grecian skies. Gliding with her
embossed
satiny milken sides.

Her lithe and nimble limbs moved methodically...
From her cream white petals to her supple stem. The nectar that she carried was transposed into a hymn.

"I must use my moments wisely, for they shall soon pass away... And be lost to me forever... A mere memory of my yesterdays...

"Thus she sung
And thus she cried.
Her voice set to harp
And lyre. So true a call
So true a heart did Zeus himself see...

"Come now unto
Mt Olympus

Oh white Iris,
And our announcer be"...
She floated along
In such a curving grace...
Transposed she was
In time and space...

The blessed arched path
Which she did go,
Became the journey for
All our eternal rainbows.
