This tree was in my flower shop last Christmas!

This is my Christmas tree in my living room from last Christmas!

This is your inspiration!

Let's see your Christmas tree in all it's holiday splendor!
Get you tree up & decorated to the 9's, I'm having a 'Friendly" Christmas tree decorating competition. No matter the size, style, color, theme, etc...all trees eligible for entry. Just follow the simple rules listed below!

It will be sort of a walk of Christmas trees from blog to blog....Readers, please leave comments on the blogs you visit. Spread some Christmas Cheer!!
And YES.....there will be prizes!!!

Here are the rules:

1. Leave a link to your blog in the comment box here. I will add it to a list of all who are participating. The list will all be linked to each person's blog. So all you will have to do is CLICK! This way everyone will be able to visit other blogs to view the trees.

2. Post a photo of your tree in the side bar of your blog under the title White Iris Designs Christmas Tree Walk. Linking it back to my blog & this post.

3. Become a friend of this blog...you can add yourself at the box to the right.

4. The entries start NOW! With the deadline to post & enter on Monday, December 15th at midnight. That gives you an entire weekend to deck your halls.

5. The winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday, December 16th, & posted on my blog. You will have to check back to see if you are the winner. If you have been chosen, please email me your address so that your prize can be mailed to you.

6. This is a "Friendly" competition open to everyone, so tell your friends!

7. After you have looked at the trees that have been entered, come back to my blog & post your favorite. This will determine readers favorite!

Want to know what you're beautiful tree can win for you?...........

I'm thinking of how you might gut-giggle were you to see our tree.

Years ago, sometime around the year the twins were crawling, I decided to let go of my tree dreams and just let me dear children actually help decorate.

We now have a mish-moshed pine, with a sock-monkey tree topper.

Is it wrong to just imagine that your tree is mine? I think I'll do that.

I'm just going to watch and see all the trees get posted. Not decorating one this year.

Oh my cupcake..you have to post pic! Those trees are the special ones...with so many memories attached to each ornament. Now as for the sock monkey tree topper..well I might have to give an award for the most unusual tree topper...You'd definetly be in the running. That is pricelss!

Raquel..NO...not one tree? Say it isn't so!!

White Iris Designs said...

CONCESSIONS??? SYMPATHY??? are you serious? LOL LOL
You are asking for exceptions to the rules & they haven't been posted yet...That is hysterical!!

I just found MUSE'S wonderful thought provoking blog and now I find your beauty over here. It must be Christmas♥♥♥
As I told the wonderful 'Muse' we are an ordinary family with an ordinary tree... decorated by a novice, yet it holds many memories and love.
For these fantastic prizes I will parade it in style. Your florals are gorgeous and so is your jewery!
It will be fun to see all the beautiful different trees.

Jan...completely understand the "under construction" but enter your gold tree...I hear minimalism is so in this year!!

Jewelgirl..welcome!! Happy to have you here. Your name alone tells me this is going to be a beautiful tree. Anxious to see it!

Lady Jane...I will be over soon to see what your elf has helped you create. Again the offer still stand for his moonlighting job...still need a delivery elf!!

Beth, Thank you for the compliments...I am delighted you have joined us. I cannot wait to see your tree.

Muse, LOL I've see your gloriously decorated tree that the kiddies helped you with last year...it still makes me smile! I know wonderful memories were made!
As for Ms Boog....I'm surprised her tree is not adorned with toilet tissue, given her affinity for it. Too funny!!

Liz... I'm glad you posted your nutcracker collection! Sometimes it is nice to break from tradition.

Delilah...Anxiously awaiting word that your tree is up & entered!!

For all...don't forget to post your blog link here so I can get them listed!!!

The White Iris

The Iris danced across
the ancient Grecian skies. Gliding with her
embossed
satiny milken sides.

Her lithe and nimble limbs moved methodically...
From her cream white petals to her supple stem. The nectar that she carried was transposed into a hymn.

"I must use my moments wisely, for they shall soon pass away... And be lost to me forever... A mere memory of my yesterdays...

"Thus she sung
And thus she cried.
Her voice set to harp
And lyre. So true a call
So true a heart did Zeus himself see...

"Come now unto
Mt Olympus

Oh white Iris,
And our announcer be"...
She floated along
In such a curving grace...
Transposed she was
In time and space...

The blessed arched path
Which she did go,
Became the journey for
All our eternal rainbows.
