There is Beauty...When You Step Out of the Boat!

Sometimes it is necessary for us to take a day and spend it entirely for our enjoyment. This helps us to reconnect, relax and rejuvenate. Sunday was that day for me and my husband. We took a canoe trip down the Wildcat Creek, which is very near our home. We had a wonderful day of relaxation and discovery.

In everyday, for everyone there is beauty for our enjoyment and all it costs us is our time. But sometimes we must step out of the boat to truly appreciate the wondrous gifts that God has provided for us.

Yesterday I stepped out of the boat and above are a few photos I took that show the the beauty I found right in my own back yard.
Enjoy!

Well...I'd say so! What a wonderfully splendid collection of real images...a piece of a memory.
And there are few greater accomplishments in life than to inspire another....Thus The Muse has been moved by these images...and a piece of prose has been written.

Wow...I love the pictures and you are so right sometimes we do need to just take some us time. The picture of the tree reminds me of a movie... when the tree comes to life. The next time you go to step out of the boat ...will you take me to.(*<*)

The White Iris

The Iris danced across
the ancient Grecian skies. Gliding with her
embossed
satiny milken sides.

Her lithe and nimble limbs moved methodically...
From her cream white petals to her supple stem. The nectar that she carried was transposed into a hymn.

"I must use my moments wisely, for they shall soon pass away... And be lost to me forever... A mere memory of my yesterdays...

"Thus she sung
And thus she cried.
Her voice set to harp
And lyre. So true a call
So true a heart did Zeus himself see...

"Come now unto
Mt Olympus

Oh white Iris,
And our announcer be"...
She floated along
In such a curving grace...
Transposed she was
In time and space...

The blessed arched path
Which she did go,
Became the journey for
All our eternal rainbows.
